Participation of Sumgait State University in the rankings

Sumgait State University (SSU) continues to achieve high results in international and regional rankings. Project Management department of the university plays an important role in ensuring SSU"s active participation in prestigious rankings and international recognition.

QS World University Rankings: Europe 2025

SSU made a successful debut as a new participant in the ranking of European universities by QS, a prestigious international ranking organization, ranking 483rd. Despite the fact that more than 5000 higher education institutions operate in 50 European countries, only 684 universities were able to enter the QS European ranking. It is an important achievement that SSU is distinguished among European universities in the rating system, which it participated in for the first time.
SSU also stood out in the regional lists of QS European rankings. Thus, SSU was the 31st university among the universities of Western Asia, the 5th in the overall ranking within Azerbaijan, and the first among the country"s regional higher education institutions to be included in the QS International Ranking. This achievement demonstrates SSU"s regional influence and role as a leading educational institution in Western Asia.

UI Greenmetric World University Rankings 2023

SSU UI ranked 1173 in the Greenmetric World University Ranking 2023, demonstrating its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. SSU"s first-ever ranking in the ranking highlights its efforts to promote sustainable practices within and beyond the university.
Participation in the rankings confirms SSU"s commitment to academic excellence, research, and sustainability, and its commitment to developing global perspectives among students and faculty.
