LECTURERS OF DEPARTMENT OF AZERBAIJANI AND EASTERN EUROPEAN NATIONS’ HISTORY VISITED SECONDARY SCHOOLS
Lecturers of the Department of Azerbaijani and Eastern European nations’ history visited secondary schools № 23, 26, 3 in Sumgayit city by the guidance of Department head Professor Shirkhan Salimov and gave information about Sumgayit State University’s gained achievements and activity directions.
The pupils were informed about material-technical base of our university, created circumstances for students, the library and state of education. It was also noted that studying at Sumgayit State University is advantageous for students in terms of quality of education, as well as of saving their time.
As a result of this meeting, on December 22, upper class students of secondary school № 23 visited Sumgayit State University for getting acquainted with created circumstances for the students. Head of the Department of Azerbaijani and Eastern European nations’ history Professor Shirkhan Salimov showed the pupils Heydar Aliyev Center functioning at the university, subject cabinets on history, library and teaching auditoriums.
It should be noted that the meetings of lecturers are going on at secondary schools of Sumgayit. In addition, it is planned to hold subject Olympiad on history among secondary schools of Sumgayit by the Department of Azerbaijani and Eastern European nations’ history at the end of 2018-2019 academic year.
