On December 27, the next training on “Azerbaijanism ideology of Heydar Aliyev” was held at Heydar Aliyev school of Sumgayit State University.

Rector of University Professor Elkhan Huseynov greeted the attendees and spoke about the role of Heydar Aliyev in formation of Azerbaijanism ideology and promotion of spiritual values. He said: “More than 50 million Azerbaijanis live in the world. A great part of them inhabited in Iran, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, USA, France, India, Pakistan and other countries. In this scale, for unifying “social power” around unique target and providing complex movement for the country’s interests, there was a need to ideology and the leader with powerful volition and rational thoughts. The only person who could lead the country to political arena in new geopolitical condition was National leader Heydar Aliyev. “Every person’s nationality is his/her source of pride. I have always been proud and I am proud today that I am Azerbaijani!” said outstanding political figure and his principal desire was the ideology based on universal values like independence, Azerbaijanism, statehood, democracy, national improvement. Under his leadership, Azerbaijan’s foreign policy, relations with leading countries and international organizations commenced to advance with the way based on national interests and sagacious political perspectives. Today Heydar Aliyev’s political line and ideas are still living and under the administration of successor of this political course President Ilham Aliyev Azerbaijan has advanced rapidly and has become the leading country of the region. The conducted large-scale projects in our country are increasing the prestige of our republic in international arena”.

The following people delivered speech in the event: head of the Department of Philosophy, sociology and politology docent Savvara Rzaguliyeva – “The role of Azerbaijanism ideology of Heydar Aliyev in strengthening our statehood”, head of the Department of History and its teaching methods docent Sona Maharramova – “Splendid day unifying World Azerbaijanis-December 31”, docent of Department of Philosophy, sociology and politology Javid Mamiyev – “Multiculturalism policy of Ilham Aliyev”, junior student of Mathematics faculty Ulkar Lachinova – “Protector of national and spiritual values – the Foundation named after Heydar Aliyev”. They emphasized that, Heydar Aliyev was an outstanding politician not only in Azerbaijan, but also in the world. Successful domestic and foreign policy run during his authority in Azerbaijan founded universal values like independence, democracy, justice, national development and secularization.

Rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov presented money award and certificate to the winners of “The best article” competition, which was held for learning and promoting National leader Heydar Aliyev’s life and heritage by the organization of Student Trade Union Committee.

In the event member cards were given to the students, who newly joined to the party.
