On January 8, “Open door” day held at Sumgayit State University on exam session of autumn semester of 2018/2019 academic year by the participation of members of Public Control and Advisory Board under Rectorate of SSU, parents, representatives of non-governmental organizations and media.

Vice-rector on Humanitarian Issues docent Ramiz Huseynov met the guests and gave wide information about organization of autumn exam session, the works done for providing objectivity and transparency in exam process and examination rules. “Exam Headquarters is functioning at the University for investigating discontent that may occur during the exam and solving them in time according to the order of Education Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. And also exam invigilators and leaders supervise exam process”, he said. Vice-rector highlighted that improving students’ level of knowledge is always in the center of attention of University rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov.

Afterwards university administration, parents, representatives of non-governmental organizations and media observed exam process and visited the room for encoding written exam papers.

Media representatives spoke with students about exam process. Senior student of Faculty of History and Geography Ali Miriyev, II course student of Faculty of Chemistry and Biology Nigar Mammadova, I course student of Faculty of Economics and Management Gafar Ismayilzade, I course student of Faculty of History and Geography Tarana Hakimli and others expressed their satisfaction on exam process.

Parents also observed examinations: Rovshan Mammadov father of I course student of History and Geography faculty Emil Mammadov, Shahin Muradov father of II course student of History and Geography faculty Gismat Muradova, Samiaddin Sailov father of I course student of Chemistry and Biology faculty Ismayil Sailov, Sabira Isayeva mother of senior student of Economics and Management faculty Akbar Isayev, Elnura Badalova mother of junior student of Philological faculty Aytan Badalova, Shafag Mammadova mother of II course student of Philological faculty Aytan Mehdizade, Gulmammad Hamzayev father of II course student of Mathematical faculty Narmin Hamzayeva. They noted that examinations are held objectively and the students’ knowledge is evaluated transparently. The parents thanked to university administration for objective condition.

Vice-rector on Teaching Organization and Training Technologies docent Natig Talibov met guests and noted that examinations are carried out in a written form, in a case of necessity it can be held in a form of verbal dialogue.14 students applied to Appellation Committee since the beginning of session and augmented their points. He stressed that Professor Elkhan Huseynov observes examinations personally. Rector accepts students and parents every day during the session, hears them and gives his assignments.
