On February 28, the presentation held “About recent changes in tax legislation” by Training Center of Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan Republic to the lecturers and students of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Sumgayit State University.

Vice-rector on Science and Innovations Professor Ramazan Mammadov, lecturers and students of Economics and Management faculty and employees of Training Center of Ministry of Taxes took part in the presentation.

The dean of Economics and Management faculty docent Aynura Yahyayeva launched the event, hailed the guests and expressed her satisfaction on seeing them at the University. She noted: “Chairman of Training Center of Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan Republic Farhad Amirbeyov visited our University for establishing and developing mutual cooperation between Ministry of Taxes Training Center and Sumgayit State University in the field of education and scientific research, organizing internship of students, holding free trainings and courses on the organization of works of information-communication technologies, creating favorable circumstances to professor-teacher staff in order to conduct scientific-research works, arranging joint events, excursions, trainings, seminars; he also held discussion with rector professor Elkhan Huseynov. This presentation is organized for expanding mutual relations. The event will contribute to effective organization of teaching process, which is dedicated to informing the lecturers and students, who study at the specialty of Accounting and audit, Finance and others about new changes. Enhancing cooperation with Ministry of Taxes Training Center is a significant step in exchanging knowledge in teaching and practical bases and preparing specialized cadres”.

Deputy Director of Human Resources Department of Training Center of Ministry of Taxes Kamran Mamishov delivered presentation on “Cadre policy of Ministry of Taxes”. Senior lecturer of economics and management department of Training Center, head of Project management group Anar Mirzayev gave information about the activity of the Center and the events held for the youth. After demonstration of video about the work of Training Center, Anar Mirzayev spoke about tax policy of the state and innovations in this sphere. Senior lecturer of Training Center Azer Mustafayev delivered presentation about main features of recent changes in Tax Code and tax payment system. He notified that the changes encompass 5 main directions: supporting entrepreneurship, reducing the size of tax evasion and “shadow economy”, expanding taxation base, improving tax administration, increasing efficiency of current and new tax breaks.
