THE SEMINAR ON “PHILOSOPHICAL PROBLEMS OF MODERN PHYSICS”
On March 11, the seminar was held on “Philosophical problems of modern physics” on occasion of “Science day”, which was declared by Order of President Ilham Aliyev dated April 9, 2018. The participants of the seminar included: faculty deans, professor-teaching and student staff.
Launching the seminar by welcome speech, dean of the Faculty of Physics and Electroenergetics docent Tamella Ahmadova spoke about significance of the event. She expressed her belief on contribution of the seminar to the increase of efficiency of researches conducted in various fields of science.
Professor of the department of philosophy, sociology and political studies Aziz Mammadov delivered speech about the subject and noted: “Physics is a science about nature and studies different forms, properties and mutual transformation of matter. Socio-economic development of society is built related with achievements of physics, so it is impossible to imagine modern life without physics. Thus, rapid development of technology, which is widely applied in industry, agriculture, transport and communication, information-communication technologies, various fields of culture, medicine and welfare of humans, as well as preparation and exploitation of technical devices are based on application of researched events and law of nature. Dealing with the role of synergetics in scientific research in modern period, the professor pointed out that synergetics is a sphere in which scientific researches intersect. It studies the condition of nature and environment. It combines 15 science fields and stimulates to conduct new studies and reveal new ideas. We need to popularize this field in Azerbaijan”.
Afterwards, the seminar went on with discussions.
