On March 27, the creativity exhibition of professor-teacher staff was organized at Sumgayit State University on occasion of “Science day”.

The books published as a result of research works, conducted in departments and laboratories, the articles published in impact factor journals, gained patents, project works, constructed models, apparatuses, devices, photos, etc. were displayed in the exhibition held in the foyers of 3 teaching buildings of the University.

Rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov emphasized the importance of exhibition and notified: “Great leader Heydar Aliyev’s policy about science and education in Azerbaijan gives its positive results. The Order of President Ilham Aliyev on setting up “Science day” dated April 9, 2018 is a sample of his care and attention to Azerbaijani science. At SSU cadre preparation in accordance with modern demands is of great importance and the number of our scholars’ articles published in impact factor journals is rising year by year. Created circumstances for scientists lead to increase in the number of research works and their quality. Therefore, there is a need to display scientific achievements of doctors of sciences and professors of the University. The purpose of this exhibition is to display recent scientific achievements, promote modern knowledge and increase efficiency of research works”.

Rector continued his speech: “According to action plan about marking “Science day” in 2019 at Sumgayit State University, the following events were held in the faculties: Round tables about “Statehood history of Azerbaijan”, “Philosophical views of Nasimi”, meetings with academicians Y.M.Mahmudov and R.M.Mammadov in History and geography faculty; the meeting on “Past, today and future of linguistics” with outstanding linguist scholars of Azerbaijan on occasion of 110th anniversary of Abdulazal Damirchizade, 90th anniversary of Afad Gurbanov, Yusif Seyidov, Ferhad Zeynalov, “Nasimi’s language” related with 650th anniversary of Azerbaijani poet Imadaddin Nasimi, scientific seminars on “Actual problems of syntaxes of Azerbaijani language”, “Abdulazal Damirchizade-110”, “Afad Gurbanov-90”, “Yusif Seyidov-90”, “Ferhad Zeynalov-90” in Philological faculty; round table on “Explanation of amendments to the law of Azerbaijan Republic on accounting” by participation of members of National Accountants Forum and Center for Economic Researches and Teaching under Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan Republic, knowledge contest “Economic terms” in Economics and Management faculty; International conference on “Innovative development perspectives of chemical technology and engineering”, meeting with doctor of chemical sciences Professor Dilgam Taghiyev, Head of Polymer Materials Institute, correspondent member of ANAS Bakhtiyar Mammadov, Deputy director of Microbiology Institute of ANAS, associate member of ANAS Panah Muradov in Chemistry and biology faculty; Olympiads on mathematics among I-III course students, exhibition of recent publications in Mathematics faculty; meeting with director of Institute of Radiation problems O.A.Samadov, seminar with professor of BSU A.B.Mammadov on “Philosophical problems of modern physics” in Physics and electroenergetics faculty”.
