CLOSING SEMINAR OF “FROM ONE VOLUNTEER TO A THOUSAND VOLUNTEERS” PROJECT
The closing seminar of the project entitled “From one volunteer to a thousand volunteers” was held at Sumgayit State University.
The project is implemented by financial support of Youth Foundation of Azerbaijan Republic, by organization of ASAN Volunteer School and ASAN Volunteers Organization and informational support of ASAN Radio.
The object of project “From one volunteer to a thousand volunteers” is promoting voluntary activity among students of higher and vocational education institutions and increasing the interest of youth to this field.
The event consisted of 2 parts. In the first part project manager Narmin Jahangirova delivered speech in the meeting and gave wide information about the project. Afterwards project speaker Abdulla Taghiyev, who was ASAN volunteer and is working now at ASAN service center, shared his story “Success starting with voluntariness” with students.
In the second part instructor Rashad Mammadov informed students about “International Voluntariness programs and voluntariness activity in Azerbaijan” and responded students’ questions.
At the end, the active students and project volunteers were presented certificates.
