TRAINING WITHIN THE PROJECT “EXPANDING INCLUSIVE EDUCATION IN AZERBAIJAN”
On April 1, the training within the project “Expanding inclusive education in Azerbaijan” was held by financial support of European Union and jointly organized by UNICEF and Ministry of Education.
Chairwoman of UNICEF on education program Leyla Hasanova and lecturers from the faculties took part in the training.
Leyla Hasanova spoke about the works executed in the sphere of inclusive education within partnership of Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic and UNICEF. She noted: "Effective partnership and implemented projects will serve to the advancement of education in Azerbaijan. The object of holding the trainings is to support implementation of state programs on inclusive education”.
Head of the Department of Pedagogy and psychology docent Aytekin Mammadova hailed the guest and participants and emphasized significance of the project. She notified: “Inclusive education environment has been formed, Centre for students with disabilities was instituted in Sumgayit State University and the University takes part in international projects as a partner. SSU has proper experience, potential and specialists in the field of inclusive education and supports this kind of projects”.
