SSU HOLDS THE EVENT ON “STRUGGLE AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING”
On April 11, Sumgayit State University hosted the educational event related to execution of National Action plan “On struggle against human trafficking”, confirmed by Order of President of Azerbaijan Republic.
Vice-rector on Humanitarian Issues docent Ramiz Huseynov hailing the guests spoke about urgency and significance of enlightening society about combat against human trafficking. He notified that the purpose of holding the event is to prevent available risks and inform the youth about determined rules, procedures and conditions. Vice-rector emphasized implementation of measures by the government in the field of struggle against human trafficking in Azerbaijan and called the youth be vigilant and stay away from this danger.
Collaborator of Head office of Struggle against Human Trafficking Sohrab Orujov delivered speech and gave information about combat of our country against human trafficking and legislation in this field. He said: “Human trafficking is one of the global problems of humanity and our country has gained great achievements in this field. Determined combat against this crime is giving its results. The citizens should support and assist law enforcement bodies in this struggle”.
Chairwoman of Public Unity of Women's Initiative and Assistance to the Solutions to Social Problems Zemfira Mustafayeva spoke about organizational and operational measures implemented in this direction, complications caused by human trafficking and the works done in our country to struggle against this problem.
Then film “Sold life” was demonstrated, shot by order of Ministry of Internal Affairs; booklets were given to the attendees.
