THE TRAINING WITHIN THE PROJECT “EXPANDING INCLUSIVE EDUCATION IN AZERBAIJAN” CONCLUDED
From April 1 to 18, the trainings held for lecturers at Sumgayit State University within the project “Expanding inclusive education in Azerbaijan” co-organized by UNICEF and Ministry of Education and financed by European Union.
The object of holding the trainings is supporting implementation of state program on inclusive education. The trainings were moderated by the lecturers of the Department of Pedagogy and psychology of our university, who took part in the trainings held by international experts in Baku. 90 lecturers from all faculties attended the trainings within 3 weeks. At the end every attendee gained certificate.
Rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov observed the training process. He notified that inclusive education environment has been created, the Center instituted for students with disabilities and Sumgayit State University has participated in several international projects in this direction. Rector pointed out that the university has practice, potential and also specialists in inclusive education sphere.
Chairwoman of the Department of Pedagogy and psychology docent Aytekin Mammadova spoke about significance of the trainings. She emphasized that the trainings arranged for enhancing the knowledge of pedagogical staff within the project “Expanding inclusive education in Azerbaijan” executed by Azerbaijani representation of UNICEF, will led to formation of new generation lecturers, who could apply inclusive education.
