SPARTAKIAD ON 3 TYPES OF SPORT AMONG STUDENTS DEDICATED TO 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF SUMGAYIT
Spartakiad was held on 3 types of sport (table tennis, chess and volleyball) between students of Sumgayit State University and Sumgayit State Technical College, dedicated to 70th anniversary of Sumgayit.
On April 18, final stage of interfaculty competitions on chess arranged. 8 teams, as well as the team of SSTC participated in the contest. It was held in 2 subgroups. 2 teams in each group qualified to semifinal. The teams of faculties of Chemistry and Biology and Mathematics from group A, faculties of Economics and Management and History and Geography from group B met in semifinal. In final stage the teams of Faculty of History and Geography and Economics and Management competed. For general results, team of Faculty of Economics and Management awarded I place, History and Geography II place, Chemistry and Biology III place.
On April 16, final stage of competition on volleyball was held. 8 teams, as well as the team of SSTC participated in the contest. It was held in 2 subgroups. 2 teams in each group qualified to semifinal. The teams of Faculty of Chemistry and Biology and Economics and Management qualified to final stage. Team of Chemistry and Biology faculty awarded I place, team of History and Geography faculty III place.
And also in the competition on table tennis, the team of Faculty of Chemistry and Biology awarded I place, Mathematics II place, Physics and Electroenergetics III place.
