DEBATE-ORATORY TOURNAMENT KICKED OFF
On April 20, debate-oratory tournament was held at Sumgayit State University on “Holding international contests has positive impact on the advancement of host country” co-organized by Student Youth Organization and Debate Club, dedicated to 70th anniversary of Sumgayit.
Vice-rector on Humanitarian Issues docent Ramiz Huseynov spoke about state care to youth in Azerbaijan, significance of orders issued by President Ilham Aliyev on the development of youth and the circumstances created for students at Sumgayit State University. He notified that debates, scientific conferences, seminars, symposiums and round tables are regularly held at our university and our students actively participate there.
Vice-rector highlighted importance of international competitions and events. He said: “Azerbaijan hosts international competitions, festivals, global forums and conferences. This is the expression of reputation of our country.”
It is worth to note that 23 teams took part in Debate Forum. The judges of Debate Civil Society conducted the competition, along with judges of the university.
