SUBJECT OLYMPIAD ON MATHEMATICS UNDER THE MOTTO “TODAY’S PUPIL IS TOMORROW’S SCIENTIST”
On April 28, subject Olympiad on mathematics was held at Sumgayit State University among IV-XI grade schoolchildren of Sumgayit schools, dedicated to 96th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev under the motto “Today’s pupil is tomorrow’s scientist”.
The object of holding the Olympiad is to reveal talented children and create circumstances for them in order to display their knowledge and skills in healthy competition environment, according to the order issued by President Ilham Aliyev dated January 26, 2015 on “Development strategy of Azerbaijani youth in 2015-2025”.
It is worth to note that about 865 schoolchildren from 46 schools on Sumgayit city took part in the Olympiad. 25 tests were given to participants on each grade.
