On May 8, the following training entitled “Heydar Aliyev is an architect of Azerbaijani statehood” was held at Heydar Aliyev school of Sumgayit State University.

Launching the event with welcome speech, rector of University Professor Elkhan Huseynov noted that in these days our nation solemnly celebrates 96th anniversary of great leader, founder of independent Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev. He said: “Several events, exhibitions, Olympiads have been arranged at Sumgayit State University on this occasion. Heydar Aliyev devoted his life and statehood experience to the future and the growth of Azerbaijan. He formulated the political and economic bases of independent Azerbaijani statehood, realized the dream of the nation of being sovereign and powerful. As a result of Heydar Aliyev’s successful policy Azerbaijan has been escaped from the threat of collapse and turned to be a developing state. Uniting nation around himself, he prevented insidious intents of internal and external forces. State building process run by Heydar Aliyev is successfully carried on by President Ilham Aliyev”.

Dean of the history and geography faculty professor Adil Bakhshaliyev delivered report in the training on “Heydar Aliyev is an architect of Azerbaijani statehood”, chief of the Department of Azerbaijani and Eastern European nations’ history Professor Shirkhan Salimov – “The leader, who recognized Azerbaijan in the world –Heydar Aliyev”, lecturer of the Department of History and its teaching methods Aytan Asadova – “Humanist physician, genius scientist –Zarifa Aliyeva”, II course student of Economics faculty Rabil Karimov – “Successor of political school of Heydar Aliyev – President Ilham Aliyev”, II course student of History and geography faculty Sara Alizade – “The role of first lady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva in recognition of Azerbaijani culture”. The speakers spoke about wise and pragmatic policy of Heydar Aliyev, as well as his attention and care to the improvement of education and to young generation. They highlighted that modern Azerbaijan is rapidly developing and strengthening its position among world countries, as a result of policy of Heydar Aliyev.

In the end cards of Yeni Azerbaijan Party (YAP) were presented to the students, who have been recently accepted to the party.
