On May 14, rector of Sumgayit State University prof.Elkhan Huseynov met the students, who will get Student and Municipality scholarships.

Commencing the event by welcome statement, rector of university prof.Elkhan Huseynov congratulated 560 students, who will get Student and Municipality scholarships. He said: “Substantial steps stridden in direction of increasing salaries, pensions and allowances, allocating compensations to martyr families, insuring deposits, enhancing self-employment program by President Ilham Aliyev since the beginning of 2019. According to the Decree of the President of Azerbaijan Republic “On providing scholarship for doctoral candidates, students and pupils of higher, secondary special and initial vocational education institutions, as well as master students of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences” dated February 14, 2019, scholarships to doctoral candidates, students and pupils of higher, secondary special and initial vocational education institutions increased. All these are the samples of President’s care and attention to science, education and youth. We highly appreciate the decision of Mayor of Sumgayit city Executive Power Zakir Farajov, who successfully executes policy of Ilham Aliyev, related to providing “Municipality” scholarship to 30 students of the university. We express our gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and Mayor Zakir Farajov on behalf of professor-teacher and student staff of SSU”.

Afterwards the student of Physics and electroenergetics faculty Tubu Ibrahimova delivered speech and noted: “I am studying at Physics and electroenergetic faculty and I am pleased with studying at this university and faculty. On these days President Ilham Aliyev issued Decree on increasing students’ scholarships. This Decree gladdened me and all my groupmates. This increase is not only material support, but also moral one for us. This increased the sense of competition among us. I thank to President Ilham Aliyev on behalf of my family and friends for his care and attention to youth”.

The students of Philology faculty Rahila Huseynova and Sahila Ibrahimova said: “Increasing scholarships will serve the raise of education quality, along with bettering social welfare of students. It has already strengthened competition among students. We all know that who studies well, whose academic indicators are high, he/she will take the advantage of the increase”.

The student of Mathematics faculty Ulkar Lachinova also expressed her gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for his decision.

History and geography faculty students Jeyhun Isgandarov and Aliyar Jafarov noted: “The decrees signed by country chief will substantially impact on decrease of social worries of students and their parents, as well. We are all devoted to the ideas of national leader Heydar Aliyev”.

The student of Economics and management faculty Konul Behbudova spoke about development perspectives of Azerbaijan under the administration of President Ilham Aliyev and his successful domestic and foreign political course. She wished success to the country head on behalf of students of Sumgayit State University.

The student of Engineering faculty Sabina Latifova pointed out: “The Decree of the President of Azerbaijan Republic “On increasing scholarships for doctoral candidates, students and pupils of higher, secondary special and initial vocational education institutions” dated January 25, 2016 is a sample of his care to youth. This Decree immensely pleased the youth of SSU and stimulated us to work with more confidence”.

Chemistry and biology faculty student Turkana Gafarova thanked to the President and highlighted that after this Decree the interest of the students to science, who has high academic indicators, will raise and education will be more qualitative.
