THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS, WHO GET SCHOLARSHIP AT SSU, IS MORE THAN 1000
Under the Decree of President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev, dated February 14, 2019 on additional measures related with improving scholarship system in higher education institutions and according to quote for Sumgayit State University, 560students will gain 100 manat scholarships on average.
Along with it, by the initiative of Mayor of Sumgayit city Executive Power Zakir Farajov, who successfully executes policy of Ilham Aliyev, 30 students of our university with high academic indicators will gain “Municipality” scholarship.
In general, the number of students, who gain scholarship at SSU, is more than 1000. The students, who have lost both of parents, gain double scholarship.
It is worth to note that according to amendments made in legislation in 2016, payment of scholarships has applied not only to the students, who study on budget basis, but also that of, who study on paid basis. It is intended to raise the ratio of the number of students, who gain scholarship on the total number of students- to 45% in 2019-2020 academic year, to 50% in 2020-2021 academic year.
