SSU HOSTED THE CAMPAIGN “PARTICIPATE AND FIND OUT YOUR HIV STATUS”
On May 17, an educational campaign under the motto “Participate and find out your HIV status” was held at Sumgayit State University by the organization of AIDS Center of Ministry of Health within the framework of Spring European HIV Testing Week.
The specialists of AIDS Center of Ministry of Health and students of the university took part in the event.
Communication specialist of the Center Jeyhun Najafov delivered speech and gave wide information to youth about HIV infection and protection ways against it, as well as healthy and secure lifestyle. He notified: “AIDS pandemic is one of the most serious infection diseases of world healthcare. There is not any treatment of this disease. It is important to detect the virus in time. Therefore, every citizen should be tested”.
Vice-rector on Humanitarian Issues docent Ramiz Huseynov noted that this disease coincides with those who have drug addiction. Spread of narcomania threats healthy lifestyle of the people. The state always cares to young generation and spoke about state policy carried out in this field by the administration of President Ilham Aliyev and the works done for healthy lifestyle and reproductive health.
