SUBJECT OLYMPIAD ON HISTORY, DEDICATED TO 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF SUMGAYIT CITY
On May 18, subject Olympiad on history was held at Sumgayit State University among VI-XI grade schoolchildren of Sumgayit, dedicated to 70th anniversary of Sumgayit city.
The object of holding the Olympiad is to reveal talented children and create circumstances for them in order to display their knowledge and skills in healthy competition environment, according to the order issued by President Ilham Aliyev dated January 26, 2015 on “Development strategy of Azerbaijani youth in 2015-2025”.
547 schoolchildren from 42 secondary schools and 4 lyceums of Sumgayit city took part in subject Olympiad. The presented questions compiled by the associates of Department of Azerbaijani and Eastern European nations’ history in 2 variants. 50 questions were presented to each pupil within 90 minutes.
The winners will be awarded certificates and presents.
