“INTELLECT” KNOWLEDGE CONTEST, DEDICATED TO 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF SSTC
On May 21, “Intellect” knowledge contest was arranged, dedicated to 60th anniversary of Sumgayit State Technical College under Sumgayit State University.
Commencing the event, director of Sumgayit State Technical College docent Matanat Pirguliyeva congratulated the collective on occasion of jubilee and gave wide information about institution history of the College and its role in advancement of chemical industry of Sumgayit city. She said: “College has been functioning since 1959. This year we will celebrate 60th anniversary of it. The plan of events has been prepared on this occasion and it is intended to hold knowledge contest among students according to the plan”. Docent Matanat Pirguliyeva wished success to the teams.
Deputy director on behavioral affairs of College Mehman Ismayilov informed about the rules of contest and evaluation of correct answers. He pointed out that the winner of I place will be awarded 150 manats, II place 100 manats, III place 50 manats.
It should be noted that the competition was held in 2 stages. At first stage, 8 teams took part from different specialties. The teams responded 30 questions. 4 teams qualified to final stage – “Young pedagogues”, “NEO analysts”, “Power engineers” and “Student Youth Organization”. 20 questions presented in final stage. According to the outcomes of II stage, “Student Youth Organization” was awarded I place, “Young pedagogues” II place, “NEO analysts” III place.
In the end winner teams were awarded.
