On May 24, Sumgayit State University hosted the event on “The essence and significance of Public service system” by the participation of professor-teaching staff, bachelor and master students.

Vice-rector on Humanitarian Issues docent Ramiz Huseynov started the event by welcome speech and spoke about youth policy conducted in our country. “As a consequence of purposeful policy of President Ilham Aliyev, the youth are growing with high intellectual level, sense of patriotism and national thinking. They play substantial role in socio-political life of Azerbaijan. The students of Sumgayit State University are also active and participating in international Olympiads, knowledge competitions, various contests, raise reputation of our university with their achievements. Holding such events will be a stimulus for their career”.

Head of Civil Service Policy and Work with Civil Service Strategy Division Tural Alizade delivered speech on “Admission system to civil service in Azerbaijan: current condition, challenges and targets”. He spoke about the works executed by national leader Heydar Aliyev in formulating national cadre potential in the field of state administration in 70s-80s of last century and his historical services in advancement of civil service system, establishing legal base in this sphere. As a result of cadre policy, run by President Ilham Aliyev the proficient and skillful cadres with high intellect, novel thoughts are growing in all spheres of our statehood. Tural Alizade also talked about the activity of State Examination Center. He said: “State policy in the field of Public service is carried out by the Center now. Its mission is to develop state administration system and implement the admission to public service in a centralized way on the base of transparency. Public service has always played and will play a significant role in management of society, thanks to the care and attention of President Ilham Aliyev to improvement of this system and social defense of civil servants”.

Chief of Work with Media Division of SEC Khanlar Khanlarzade delivered presentation on “Electronic services presented with Public service via site of SEC”. He gave information about admission mechanisms to public service, new rules, certification system and functions of the Center about public service policy.

In the end the discussion was held around the topic, the questions were responded about the activity of SEC and the reforms conducted in the field of public service.
