On June 24, “Open door day” organized concerning exam session of spring semester of 2018/2019 academic year by participation of members of Public Control and Advisory Board under rectorate of Sumgayit State University, media representatives and parents. The aim of organization of the day was observation and evaluation of exams and final State Attestations.

Vice-rector for Humanitarian Issues docent Ramiz Huseynov accepted observers and gave them information about examinations and the works done at the university on the eve of exam session. According to the order of Education Minister issued about organization of exam session, exams are carried out in accordance with existing rules, transparency and objectivity provided in evaluation of students’ knowledge. Examinations are carried out in a written form. After the exam, papers encoded at exam headquarters, checked by the lecturers and results announced. The students disagreeing with their marks could appeal to appellation commission with application and their marks could be raised after verbal examination. Exam Headquarters and Hotline are functioning at the university for investigating discontent that may occur during the exam and solving them in time, as well as the application and suggestion boxes are placed in all teaching buildings of the university.

Afterwards the guests visited exam rooms for observing exam process and expressed satisfaction on created circumstances for students.

The members of Public Control and Advisory Board observed the process of final State Attestation in bachelor’s and master’s degree. They attended defense of dissertation works: master student of Engineering faculty Khanim Tajirli – “Development of models and algorithms of flexible production module by application of Petri nets”, master student of Economics and management faculty Ruhid Mammadzade – “Problems and directions of improvement of Customs policy of Azerbaijan Republic in modern period”, Lamiya Humbatova from Mathematics faculty – “Determination of solution for differential equations with Hyperbolic and Parabolic type”. At the same time State exam process observed in group 681of Engineering faculty, 782 of Economics and management faculty, 483 of Mathematics faculty, 882 of History and geography faculty.
