THE FINAL MEETING OF SSU SCIENTIFIC BOARD IN 2018/2019 ACADEMIC YEAR
On July 11, expanded final meeting of Scientific Board in 2018/2019 academic year was held at Sumgayit State University.
University rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov hailed Board members and informed them about issues on agenda.
Head of Teaching Methodical Center docent Isabal Gurbanov delivered report about the results of exam session of autumn semester of 2018/2019 academic year on Bachelor’s degree, vice-rector for International Relations docent Gafar Atayev on correspondence education, head of Doctorate and Master Programs Office docent Sabir Khalilov on Master’s degree.
Vice-rector for International Relations docent Gafar Atayev gave information about status of international relations and the ways of its expansion. He notified that in last 5 years international relations of SSU have extended, cooperation agreements have been signed with prestigious universities of the world in bilateral and multilateral format.
Rector Elkhan Huseynov emphasized that we should provide student mobility, execute substantial works for creating conditions for our lecturers to lecture at foreign universities and intensify international relations within Association of Russian-Azerbaijani Universities.
Vice-rector for Teaching Organization and Training Technologies docent Natig Talibov informed about preparations done for 2019/2020 academic year. He pointed out that all departments are about to complete division of teaching load for new academic year. New auditoria will be given to the faculties; there will be novelty in control of class attendance of students.
Afterwards rector Elkhan Huseynov said that memorial plaque of Firudin Mammadov, who was department head in our universities, correspondent member of ANAS, outstanding scholar, professor, will be placed in front of his department.
Scientific secretary professor Mukhtar Samadov’s information was heard about confirmation of Regulations of Quality Assurance Center of SSU, ERASMUS+EQAC project, approval of self-analysis report on specialties chosen as a pilot in SSU within “Support of strengthening higher education in Azerbaijan” project of European Union Twinning program, affirmation of work plan of Scientific Board for 2019/2020 academic year and implementation of decisions of the Board.
In the end 36 methodical aids were discussed and permitted to be published.
