PARTICIPANTS OF THE SUMMER SCHOOL “TRAVEL TO THE LAND OF FIRE AZERBAIJAN” VISITED ADA UNIVERSITY AND THE ICHERI SHEHER HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL RESERVE
Within the framework of the Summer School “Travel to the Land of Fire Azerbaijan”, its participants under the guidance of vice-rector for International Relations of SSU docent Gafar Atayev, visited ADA University and took part in the round table.
Vice-rector of ADA University Fariz Ismayilov welcomed the participants of the Summer School and told them about the history of the university, its international relations and cooperation with universities in Russia. It was noted that, based on modern educational standards and taking into account world practice, the university trains personnel with innovative and global thinking. It has successfully implemented student exchange programs with leading universities in the world. The vice-rector expressed confidence that such meetings would contribute to the development of science and education in Russia and Azerbaijan.
Farid Safiyev, Chairman of the Board of the Center for Analysis of International Relations, delivered lecture on the history of Azerbaijan to students. He also spoke about the culture and economy of the country. It was noted that modern Azerbaijan has taken its rightful place among other countries of the world both politically and economically. The lecturer also answered numerous questions from guests.
Then the co-chairs of the Association of Russian-Azerbaijani Universities, the rector of Ural State Technical University, academician Ramil Bakhtizin, the rector of SSU, Professor Elkhan Huseynov, and the participants of the Summer School visited the Icheri Sheher Historical and Architectural Reserve. The co-chairs described the work carried out within the framework of the Association, as well as the upcoming activities of the organization.
They noted that the Summer School will make a worthy contribution to the development of mutual cooperation between the two countries, will have a positive impact on improving students' knowledge and skills, and will strengthen the friendly relations between our peoples.
In conclusion, the participants of the Summer School expressed their gratitude to the co-chairs of the Association of Russian-Azerbaijani Universities for the initiative and assistance in organizing and conducting the Summer School.
