On October 10, opening ceremony of the 13th Azerbaijan International Education Exhibition EduExpo held at the Baku Expo Center. The opening ceremony was attended by Farah Aliyeva, head of the Department of Humanitarian Policy issues at the Presidential Administration, Minister of Education Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of National Education of Turkey Ziya Selchuk, members of the Public Council under the Ministry, heads of educational institutions, representatives of various educational services and other guests.

Speaking at the ceremony, Education Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said that this year's exhibition was attended by more than 150 educational institutions from 22 countries.

Education Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said that a number of important state documents have been adopted and projects have been implemented since the signing of the State Education Development Strategy approved by President Ilham Aliyev. Achievements were made possible by the efforts of educational institutions, educators, teachers and the community as a whole. Referring to the Turkish Education Minister Ziya Selchuk's participation in the exhibition, Jeyhun Bayramov said that friendly and fraternal relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan should be reflected in education and close cooperation between education professionals of the two nations. The Minister also said that the exhibition will contribute to the deepening and enrichment of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey. At the end of his speech, the Minister thanked everyone who contributed to the organization of the exhibition and wished them success.

Then Minister of National Education of Turkey Ziya Selchuk spoke about the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey. Ziya Selchuk said tha he believes the visit will play an important role in the development of mutual cooperation in the field of education. At the end of his speech, Minister Ziya Selcuk thanked for the hospitality shown in Azerbaijan and expressed his confidence that the visit would further strengthen relations in the field of education.

Vassilis Maragos, head of the “NEAR” General Directorate in the European Commission, in turn, said that this year the European Union will make its debut at the exhibition. He said that the embassies and universities of Austria, the Czech Republic, France, Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland and Romania are represented in European Union stands.

Edward Stroun, Regional Director of Caspian Event Organizers, also said that the traditional annual exhibition is welcomed with interest and gives visitors a great opportunity to choose an educational institution.

The exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Education, Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Fund (AZPROMO), the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (KOBIA) and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AEC). The main sponsor of the exhibition is Kapital Bank, organizer is Caspian Event Organizers.

Sumgayit State University was represented at the exhibition along with other universities of our country. Rector of SSU, Professor Elkhan Huseynov at the exhibition spoke about educational structures, existing specialties, scientific work of the teaching staff, including in our country and abroad and international relations of the university to Farah Aliyeva, head of the Department of Humanitarian Policy issues of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Minister of Education, Jeyhun Bayramov. At the same time he showed 2 stands of the Faculty of Physics and Electroenergetics for "Non-traditional (wind, solar) electricity generation from electricity production subject", Faculty of Engineering "Application of remote industrial robot for automation of technological processes" and the books, booklets and video clips reflecting university’s scientific activity.

The projects presented on the stand of SSU were welcomed with interest. The Minister highly appreciated the stands presented by Sumgayit State University.

The 13th International Education Exhibition will last for three days.
