SSU STUDENT AWARDED GOLD MEDAL IN THE INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
Recently, our country gains substantial achievements in direction of advancement of sport thanks to care of President Ilham Aliyev. Our sportsmen represent Azerbaijan in international sports competitions. Azerbaijan is known as a sports country in the world and hosts international contests and events.
Interest on sports has been increasing year by year at Sumgayit State University, so achievements of our sportsmen gained in international arena are samples of it. On October 19, III course student of the Faculty of Physics and Electroenergetics of SSU Nurahmad Babayev won I place and awarded with gold medal in Akhaltsikhe city of George on shot put type of athletics, by showing the result of 14.17meter.
We are proud of success of our sportsmen students. Since they successfully represent our country and university in international arenas. We congratulate Nurahmad Babayev on his victory and wish him good luck.
It is worth to note that hundreds of sportsmen took part in the competition from Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia.
