FOOTBALL TEAM OF ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT FACULTY WON THE I PLACE
Spartakiad of I course students of Sumgayit State University was held at SSU, on 5 types of sport (mini football, volleyball, table tennis, checkers and chess) according to Plan of Events approved in connection with 70th anniversary of Sumgayit city.
The teams of the faculties took part in the competition. The competition started in 2 subgroups. Faculties of Economics and Management, Chemistry and Biology, Philology and team of Sumgayit State Technical College were in I subgroup, faculties of History and Geography, Engineering, Physics and Electroenergetics and Mathematics were in the second subgroup.
It should be noted that 2 teams in each subgroup passed to next stage. The team of Economics and Management faculty qualified to final stage by defeating Engineering faculty in semifinal. The team of Economics and Management faculty won I place by overcoming team of History and Geography faculty. Engineering faculty was awarded III place by defeating Chemistry and Biology faculty.
