THE FOLLOWING TRAINING BY PARTICIPATION OF EXPERT OF CLARIVATE ANALYTICS COMPANY
On November 14, Sumgayit State University hosted a training on “Requirements of international scientific journals and writing rules of the articles in English” by participation of expert of Clarivate Analytics company for scientific information resources, PhD in linguistics Valeria Kurmakayeva and representative of the company in Azerbaijan Aygun Babazade.
Chairman of Scientific Section of the University associate professor Samir Orujov commenced the event, hailed the guests and highlighted actuality of the topic.
The trainer Valeria Kurmakayeva explained that indexation of scientific journals in humanitarian field is special in international database dissimilar to natural and technical sciences. Visually displaying the ways to choose the valuable journals in philology, the trainer gave her suggestions about writing articles in English and compiling compatible with requirements of foreign journals.
The discussions were held with academic staff of the University, as well as faculty deans, department heads, academic supervisors and PhD students about terms of use of information-research systems WoS, JCR,EndNote (Match), Master Journal List and other practical issues.
The title, summary, key words of the article, IMRAD: Intro, Methods, Results and Discussion, cover letter were explained and demonstrated interactively.
