A MEETING WITH STUDENTS WITHIN THE PILOT PROJECT "FIRST STEPS IN CAREER"
In recent years, the cooperation of Sumgayit State University with “Standart Insurance” OJSC and other insurance companies has been strengthened. Employees of “Standart Insurance” OJSC regularly meet with SSU students.
On November 18, at the initiative of the “Standart Insurance” Company and organizational support of the Faculty of Economics and Management, SSU held a regular meeting with students within the pilot project “First Steps in Career”.
The meeting was attended by the head of the Customer Service Department of the “Standart Insurance” Company Rustam Ahmedov, the director of the Sumgayit representative office of the company Nizami Alemov, the customer service specialist Akber Novruzzade, the specialist of the Human Resources and Office Management Department Humay Sadikhova, the sales specialist Lala Rasulova, the head of the Sumgayit representative office of the “Gala” insurance company Ilgar Zulfugarov and students of the Faculty of Economics and Management.
Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, associate professor Aynura Yahyaeva welcomed the guests. She talked about ensuring the participation of students in industrial practice, about the conditions created for undergraduates to provide them with work, and achievements in the field of educational development.
Head of the Department of Finance and Accounting, associate professor Loghman Abdullayev in his speech noted that such events have a positive impact on students' career development in the future. He also touched on the important points necessary for the first steps in a career.
Representatives of insurance companies Rustam Ahmedov, Nizami Alemov and Ilgar Zulfugarov said that holding such meetings helps students to build a career. They talked about which steps should be taken at its beginning.
Speakers also noted that new generation insurance specialists are required in the insurance market, and such events assist students studying in the field of finance and insurance. Then, discussions were held with students on the situation of insurance markets, and answers to students' questions were sounded.
