On November 19, a city-wide event dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Sumgayit city was held in front of the Sumgayit Executive Power Building. Residents of Sumgayit are proud of their city, which, after a long development path, has become one of the largest industrial centers of the country. This was felt by the mood of the citizens gathered in the square to mark a significant event. On the platform built on the square there were veterans, city leaders, officials, deputies of the Milli Majlis, members of diplomatic missions, delegations from Germany, Ukraine and China. The event began with a march of military personnel. It demonstrated modern technology, which is in the arsenal of the State Border Service. After that, delegations of enterprises and organizations of the city marched across the square. The event was also attended by employees and students of Sumgayit State University and Sumgayit State Technical College.
