THE FOLLOWING MEETING OF SCIENTIFIC BOARD
On November 27, the following meeting of Scientific Board was held at Sumgayit State University. Rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov opened the meeting and hailed the members. He congratulated SSU lecturers: professors Javanshir Mammadov and Shirkhan Salimov for being awarded “Taraggi” medal for their service in socio-economic advancement of the city by President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev on occasion of 70th anniversary of Sumgayit city.
Rector also gave information about the event held on occasion of 100th anniversary of Baku State University. He noted that in the meeting dedicated to the anniversary of BSU President Ilham Aliyev delivered speech and appreciated 100-year period of BSU.
Then the issues on agenda were discussed. Chief of Doctorate and master programs office docent Sabir Khalilov delivered report about the results of attestations of master and PhD students in faculty scientific boards, vice-rector for Science and Innovations Professor Ramazan Mammadov about the project of Republican and International conferences, to be held in 2019-2020, vice-rector for Humanitarian Issues docent Ramiz Huseynov about the events to be held at SSU related to commemoration day of national leader Heydar Aliyev. After discussions the plan of events and the schedule of conferences were approved.
Afterwards chairwoman of Foreign languages department Professor Nigar Isgandarova gave broad information about her participation and speech in the 10th Russia-Azerbaijan Interregional Forum, which was held in Moscow.
Head of the International Cooperation Office PhD in history Samira Mammadova widely spoke about attendance of SSU employees in international programs and projects, as well as ERASMUS, Movlana exchange and TWINNING programs.
Rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov highlighted that SSU staff should participate at International forums, symposiums and conferences, which are held in foreign countries. At the same time they should endeavor to prepare international projects and joint projects with other universities.
Scientific secretary Professor Mukhtar Samadov gave information about giving publication right (griffin) to teaching aids. He noted that 3 teaching aids and 23 subject programs have been accepted by Scientific Board. After discussions the teaching aids were permitted to be published.
