On December 16, Fuad Ahmadov, acting director of “SOCAR Polymer” met the students by organization of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Sumgayit State University.

At the meeting, vice-rector for Humanitarian Affairs Ramiz Huseynov greeted the guest and the participants of the event, spoke about the activities of the university, the activities carried out for the development of education, the achievements and the expansion of effective cooperation. He said that every relationship that is established determines the future prospects of each contract signed. Vice-rector spoke about the work done to improve the quality of education at the university and emphasized the importance of joint cooperation in the training of professionals for the country.

Acting director of SOCAR Polymer Fuad Ahmadov thanked the cordial reception and made a broad presentation about his enterprise, work done in the enterprise which is of great importance for Azerbaijan chemical industry, admission rules of summer internship program, selection rounds, provided extensive information on examinations and required qualifications for students" knowledge tests and answered numerous questions of students.

After the meeting with the students, the rector of the university, Professor Elkhan Huseynov, received Fuad Ahmadov, acting director of “SOCAR Polymer”. The rector spoke about the recent reforms in our country. He said that the dynamic development in our country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the opening of factories and plants equipped with modern technologies not only in Baku but also in the regions, increase the responsibility of universities. Because, for more efficient operation of newly opened factories, there is a need for skilled, well-trained staff. The rector stressed that the university now has an effective educational relationship with many institutions, and he is confident that this initiative will contribute to the joint training of qualified personnel. Referring to the importance of cooperation with industrial enterprises at SSU, rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov said that the main goal is to train highly qualified specialists for the country.

Fuad Ahmadov, acting director of “SOCAR Polymer”, who gave a brief overview of the company he represented, said there was enough opportunity for joint cooperation between the parties. Emphasizing the importance of strengthening ties between enterprises, the guest spoke about the further expansion of cooperation. He said that we have a great need for talented young people and their involvement in work experience is very important.

The meeting participants discussed potential cooperation opportunities between “SOCAR Polymer” and the university. Establishment and development of collaborative research areas, organization of excursions, trainings, seminars, round tables, conferences and forums, creation of appropriate conditions for the teaching staff for conducting research work, preparation of textbooks and monographs should be reflected in future cooperation agreement.
