SSU LECTURERS AT THE SEMINAR OF MINISTRY OF EDUCATION
On December 19, there was held a seminar on “Agreement of internal and external quality assurance processes in European Higher Education Area” in conference hall of Midtown Hotel Baku by Ministry of Education. The seminar was conducted with the participation of EU experts in English in the format of the session, consisted of two parts.
The seminar was attended by the acting head of the Department of Accreditation and Nostrification of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Lala Abbasova, employees of the Department Tofig Mustafayev and Elmira Manafova, as well as representatives of universities in Azerbaijan.
The seminar was opened by Lala Abbasova and gave the floor to Ulker Sattarova, vice-rector for Strategic Development of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction.
Vice-rector Ulker Sattarova shared her experience and spoke about a joint undergraduate program with the University of Leicester of England.
Then, the Director for Quality of the Lithuanian University of Management and Economics, Jolita Bitken, and the Director of the Academic Department of Vilnius Technical University Nora Skaburskene made presentations.
The presentation consisted of 4 parts: current situation, plans, opportunities and obstacles. At the presentation, innovations in the curriculum, bringing curricula in line with European standards, the organization of a quality process of training and teaching, activities in this issue of the Career Center and the Quality Assurance Department, support of the teaching staff, motivation events were presented.
In the second part of the seminar, the participants were divided into 2 groups for completing assignments. Each team discussed their opinions, and then a presentation was made.
At the seminar SSU was represented by the head of the Scientific Section associate professor Samir Orujov, head of the Department of International Cooperation, PhD in history Samira Mammadova, lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages Aynura Khanlarova, lecturer of the Faculty of Mathematics Gunay Ismayilova.
The seminar was successful, and its participants received a lot of useful information.
