On January 10, a traditional “Open door” day for the autumn semester of the 2019-2020 academic year was held with the participation of members of the Public Control and Advisory Board under the rectorate of Sumgayit State University, parents and media representatives.

The delegation was welcomed by Ramiz Huseynov, vice-rector for Humanitarian Issues of the University. The pro-rector informed in detail about the organization of the autumn exam session, the purposeful measures taken to ensure objectivity and transparency in the exam process and the rules of the exam. He informed that the examination session of the 2019-2020 academic year for the autumn semester in higher and secondary special education institutions is held according to the order dated December 6, 2019 signed by the Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov "On the organization and conduct of the exam session". At the Sumgayit State University the relevant order was signed by the rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov. Exams are usually conducted in written form. Upon completion of the exam, the response forms are coded in the examination headquarters, checked by the teachers, and the results are announced. For the purpose of investigating and eliminating any dissatisfaction that may result from exams during the session, the Examination and a Hotline on the university have been established and application and suggestion boxes are placed in all teaching buildings of the university. At the same time, exams are monitored through cameras and by invigilators.

The vice-rector also noted that during the session "Open door" days are regularly held with the participation of the University's Public Control and Advisory Board, parents and members of the public. “The exams are personally supervised by the rector of the university, Professor Elkhan Huseynov. The rector receives students and parents every day during the session, listens to them, and gives students instructions. I would like to point out that exams at the Sumgayit State Technical College under Sumgayit State University are conducted in the same way”.

Then the university administration, parents and media representatives watched the exam process in separate audiences, interested in the students' attitude towards the exams.

Representatives of the media asked students questions about the status of the exams. Students also expressed their satisfaction with the conditions and exams. They noted that all of the questions cover topics they have learned throughout the semester.
