On February 7, the next meeting of the Scientific Council was held at Sumgayit State University.

Rector Prof. Elkhan Huseynov opened the meeting with welcoming speech and greeted the members of the Council and highlighted the issues on the agenda.

The director of the Teaching Methodical Center Faig Shirinov delivered speech on the results of the examination session for the autumn semester of the 2019/2020 academic year on bachelor’s level, the vice-rector for International Relations docent Gafar Atayev on correspondence education, the head of the Department of Doctorate and Master's program Office docent Sabir Khalilov on master’s level, Director of the SSTC, associate professor Matanat Pirguliyeva on the College. They noted that transparency and objectivity in assessing students' knowledge was fully ensured. Faig Shirinov, the director of the Teaching Methodical Center, said that according to the relevant order of the rector on the organization and conduct of the exam session, supervisor-teacher coordinators were identified and the examinations were organized in accordance with the approved exam schedule. As always, during the exam session, "Open Door" days were held with the participation of university's Public Supervisory Board, parents and the public.

Scientific secretary Prof. Mukhtar Samadov informed about the approval of doctoral dissertation topics and the appointment of scientific consultants and the publication of teaching materials. He noted that four people - Vusala Babajanova, Saadat Humbataliyeva, Nemat Ibayev and Osman Hajiyev were admitted to the doctoral program. Professor Mukhtar Samadov also said that the Scientific Council has accepted 24 subject programs. Subject programs were discussed at the proper department meetings, faculty councils. It is recommended the permission for publication of the programs by the presentation of Teaching Methodological board and the Editorial and Publishing department of SSU. Following the discussions, it was permitted to publish the subject programs. Thus, the meeting of the Scientific Council ended.
