On February 14, a meeting was held at the Azerbaijan University of Art and Culture with the support of the US Embassy in Azerbaijan on the establishment of the Association of International Managers. The meeting was attended by the Ministry of Education of the AR, the US Embassy in Azerbaijan, the national office of ERASMUS and employees of universities involved in international affairs. The meeting was held by moderators Richard Pinkam, person in charge of cultural work at the Embassy, Ramina Murshudova, educational program specialist at the Embassy's Public relations department, Arif Najimov, head of Department of International Relations and Projects of Baku Engineering University and Parviz Bagirov, Director of the ERASMUS National Office. Moderators in their speeches noted the need to create an Association. They talked about the charter, the organization’s action plan and about admission to the Association. Information was also given on world practice in this area, and a discussion of current issues took place. At the event, proposals were made.

Representative of the Ministry of Education Narmin Baghirova provided information about the portal of the Study in Azerbaijan project.

Sumgayit State University was represented in the meeting by the head of Department of International Cooperation and Foreign Students PhD in history Samira Mammadova and methodologist of the Department Nigar Mammadova.
