WINNERS OF THE OLYMPIAD RECEIVED THEIR AWARDS
As previously reported, the International online Olympiad on Russian language (as a foreign language) was held in December 2019 by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Russian Federation and the University of St. Petersburg.
The main purpose of the Olympiad is to increase and strengthen the interest in Russian language and culture, and enhance the importance of Russian as an international language of communication.
The Olympiad was held in two stages. The first phase took place on December 3-18 and the second one was on December 20-23. The results were announced on December 25.
On the initiative of the Linguistic Center, students from different faculties of our university were involved to participate in the Olympiad: Alizade Arif- the student of group 405 of Mathematics faculty, Bayramova Novrasta and Guliyeva Tahmina-group 486, Valiyev Tugay- group 925 of Philological faculty, Muradkhanova Lala and Diana- Eyvazova- group 903, Jahangirova Aynur- group 324 of the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology, Muradov Murad - group 320, and Niftaliyev Ramiz-group 629 of the Faculty of Engineering.
All our students passed the first stage of the Olympiad. And the winners of the second round and the Olympiad as a whole were Bayramova Novrasta and Niftaliyev Ramiz.
The other day, a parcel from St. Petersburg with diplomas and prizes of the Olympiad, which were awarded to students, arrived at the university's mailing address.
