THE TEACHING PROCESS AT THE FACULTY OF PHILOLOGY IS ORGANIZED REMOTELY
Urgent measures are being taken at the Faculty of Philology of Sumgayit State University to prevent the danger of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. Thus, in accordance with the instructions and recommendations of the Ministry of Education, the teaching process has been organized online and offline at the Faculty of Philology, as well as at all faculties of Sumgayit State University, taking into account the suspension of classes due to the necessary measures related to coronavirus.
Dean, associate professor Sevinj Hamzayeva gave detailed information about the online teaching process at the faculty. She said that all four departments of the faculty joined the Moodle system developed within the university's Erasmus + project, which was aimed at organizing classes offline, and then the Ministry of Education, with the technical support of Microsoft, has started the use of the Microsoft Teams platform to remotely organize the process. Thus, all faculty members and 31 full-time and 6 part-time students currently enrolled in the system registered on moodle.sdu.edu.az and teams.microsoft.com, which were created to use the system. The materials required for mastering the course are posted on the site in pdf and doc format, and students can use these materials to prepare for lessons and master lecture materials at any time. Currently, the departments are working on the placement of exam questions for the exam session of the 2019-2020spring semester.
