TO THE ATTENTION OF THE STUDENTS OF SUMGAYIT STATE UNIVERSITY: STUDENTS FROM FAMILIES BELONGING TO SOCIALLY VULNERABLE GROUPS
The social package, designed to support the financial state of the Azerbaijani population due to the coronavirus pandemic, also includes students who belong to the vulnerable families. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan adopted Resolution № 138 dated April 13 on the payment of tuition fees for students from socially vulnerable families for the semesters of 2020 at the expense of the state budget.
According to the Resolution, tuition fees for the academic semesters in 2020 of students studying full-time (excluding second higher education) in the educational institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan and members of socially vulnerable families will be covered by the state budget:
1. Recipients of targeted state social assistance;
2. both parents (and if there is a single parent, the same person) or their legal representatives belonging to any of the following categories:
- Persons with I and II degree disabilities;
- registered as unemployed;
- labor pensioners by age;
- old-age assistance recipients.
Documents to be submitted:
1. Identity document of the student,
2. Birth certificate,
3. Documents confirming the identity of the parents indicated in the birth certificate,
4. In case of single parent, in addition, death certificate of the other parent,
5. Documents confirming the relevant court decision and the identity of the representatives in relation to legal representatives,
6. Document confirming the social status of parents or legal representatives (family receiving TSSA, registered unemployed, I and II degree disabled, old-age pensioner, old-age assistance recipients).
Electronic copies of documents are required. Students should send the above documents to tmm@sdu.edu.az.
