Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the educational process is also successfully implemented online for correspondence students at the Faculty of Engineering. The vast majority of students use this platform and are involved in online learning.

From April 1, the classes of third-year part-time students are also held online. Currently, the work is underway in WhatsApp groups in parallel with moodle.sdu.edu.az and Microsoft Teams. On April 16, Sudaba Nagiyeva, senior lecturer of the Faculty of Engineering conducted online lesson on the subject of Computer Circuits and Microprocessor Systems, on April 17, docent Shalala Jafarova on the subject of Internet Technologies and Operations Research, senior lecturer Tarana Safarova on the subject of Computer graphics in group 617-1. The organization of classes in this way until the end of the quarantine period is welcomed by students. In general, 20 groups of the Faculty of Engineering (bachelor 17, master 3) joined the Moodle system developed within the framework of the university's Erasmus + project. The materials needed to master the lessons are posted on the site. The Ministry of Education, with the technical support of Microsoft, has started using the Microsoft Teams platform to provide students with the opportunity to master educational programs and organize the learning process remotely during the suspension of the educational process. Teachers and students are also actively involved in this platform. Teachers who teach at our faculty take classes online on this platform. Currently, work is underway in WhatsApp groups in parallel with moodle.sdu.edu.az and Microsoft Teams. For this purpose, a group of university coordinators has been established and the instructions obtained from it are immediately delivered to teachers. Tutors and group leaders were involved in this work. It should be noted that not all university students are able to attend online classes for certain reasons (limited access to the Internet). The vast majority of lessons are videotaped so that such students can later watch the course materials.
