THE NEXT ONLINE MEETING OF THE PETRA PROJECT WAS HELD
The international relations of Sumgayit State University cover bilateral cooperation with universities of foreign countries, participation in international projects, attracting foreign students, joint work with international organizations and other areas. In order to bring education in line with European standards and improve it, SSU joined the PETRA project of the ERASMUS + program, proposed by the European Union in 2017. The ERASMUS + PETRA project (Promoting Excellence in Teaching and Learning in Azerbaijani Universities) has been ongoing for 3 years. The project has already been completed, but due to known circumstances, due to the incompleteness of work on the preparation of documentation, its deadline has been extended to August.
On April 25th, through the Zoom program, an online meeting was held on the PETRA project. The theme of this meeting was to ensure the duration of the project and discuss the issues of the virtual conference “Problems of Online Teaching and Learning”, which will be held by the Khazar University.
On the part of SSU, the head of the Department of International Cooperation and International Students, PhD Samira Mammadov, took part in the online meeting.
It should be noted that the online conference will be held on May 6, 2020 at 15:00. The international conference will bring together England, Spain, Hungary, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and representatives of several other countries. Speakers will be given 10 minutes to exchange experiences on resolving problems that have arisen at present. Only partners of the PETRA project in Azerbaijan participated in the meeting: Khazar University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Sumgait State University, Azerbaijan University, Nakhchivan State University, Baku Slavic University and Azerbaijan University of Languages.
Those who wish to participate in the conference can register by e-mail risayeva@khazar.org.e-mail until April 30.
