In connection with the suspension of classes in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in our country, in accordance with the instructions and recommendations of the Ministry of Education, classes at all faculties of Sumgait State University are held online and offline. The vast majority of students studying in the full-time and part-time department, as well as the master students take part in online classes. Lecture materials are available in the programs “Moodle.sdu.edu.az” and “Microsoft Teams’. The teaching process is also successfully implemented through Zoom online conferences, Trueconf online systems and WhatsApp groups. The online mode is also used for organizing leisure activities for students, conducting various intellectual games and competitions. The scientific and practical online conference "The Shining Star of Realistic Literature" dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the outstanding Azerbaijani writer Abdurrahim bey Hagverdiyev was held at SSU, as well as in the framework of the project "Stay home, don’t stay away from education!" initiated by the Ministry of Education, the University’s Student Youth Organization, hosted intelligent online games, drawing competitions, and contests for readers and performers.

Students are very enthusiastic about participating in such online classes and, through a video, express their gratitude to the university management and teachers for organizing the educational process online until the end of the quarantine period. The students who recorded the video highly appreciated the hard work of the teachers and on behalf of the students of SSU thanked all the teachers who continue to conduct classes in quarantine.
