On June 3, the closing ceremony of the XX Republican Scientific Conference of Masters dedicated to the 97th anniversary of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev was held at Sumgayit State University.

Vice-rector for Science and Innovations, Professor Ramazan Mammadov conveyed the greetings of Rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov to the participants of the event and noted the importance of the conference. He noted that this conference was a sign of respect for the memory of the great leader, as well as an opportunity to deepen relations between our university and other universities in the country and a great contribution to the establishment of relations between masters.

The Vice-rector also stressed that as a result of the successful domestic and foreign policy of President Iham Aliyev, the political and worthy successor of national leader Heydar Aliyev, Azerbaijan has become one of the leading countries and cultural centers not only in the region but also in the world. The measures taken to reduce the negative impact of the pandemic on the country"s economy, macroeconomic stability, employment and business entities are also met with interest and accepted as an example by a number of developed countries. Today, in accordance with the wise political course of President Iham Aliyev, Sumgayit State University is taking important steps to train highly qualified personnel and increase the intelligentsia in order to turn economic potential into intellectual capital. Of course, these works and strategic goals indicate a bright future for education in our country.

Important work is being done in our country for the development of higher education, successful projects are being signed to achieve the integration of science and education, to determine the priorities of scientific research in higher education. At the initiative of the Ministry of Education, Sumgayit State University annually increases the interest of undergraduates and young researchers in science and research by hosting the Republican Scientific Conference. This conference, which has already become a tradition, is an integral part of that policy. The XX Republican scientific conference of masters continued its work in 18 sections in the format of video conference on June 2-3. Then the floor was given to the heads of departments at the closing ceremony of the conference.

Heads of departments: prof. M. Zarbaliyev, prof. N. Qurbanov, prof. A. Huseynov, prof. J. Mammadov, prof. Q. Ramazanov, prof. Sh. Salimov, prof.T. Aghayev, prof. A. Mammadov, prof. A. Bayramov, docent Q. Mansurov, dos. L. Abdullayev, docent. A. Bakhshaliyev, docent Q. Abdullayev, docent R. Ahmadova, docent B. Eminli, docent A. Mammadova, docent İ. Agayev, docent J. Mamiyev reported on the work of the units. The heads of the departments noted that the research work submitted by the masters for discussion was mainly devoted to topical issues and praised the work of the conference.

After a comprehensive discussion of the recommendations and suggestions of the heads of departments, the organizing committee of the XX Republican Scientific Conference of Masters made relevant decisions.

Thus, the XX Republican Scientific Conference of Masters ended successfully.
