On June 8, the exam session of the spring semester of the 2019/2020 academic year for students studying in Sumgayit State University in the I-III academic years began its work online.

According to the requirements of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On some measures to eliminate the negative impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on the educational process in educational institutions" dated May 18, 2020 to the letter of the Ministry of Education No. 01-11-522 / 15 dated 20.05.2020, the order No. F-277 dated 02.06.2020 on the organization and conduct of the examination session and the order of SSU dated 02.06.2020 and the decision of the Scientific Council (protocol № 10), an order was signed to hold the Final State Attestation and examination session in the prescribed manner. Sumgayit State University held a high level of training to ensure the objectivity and transparency of exams related to the implementation of this order. Today, the rector of the university, Professor Elkhan Huseynov, vice-rectors and the head of the Teaching Section watched exams at various faculties.

Rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov said during an online meeting with students that, taking into account the organization of the spring semester of the 2019/2020 academic year on the Internet, the examination session should be organized in accordance with existing rules, ensuring transparency and objectivity in assessing students" knowledge. In order to create an examination headquarters in educational institutions, to conduct investigations and take necessary measures in a short time, to conduct transparent and objective examinations before the session, the university administration, deans of faculties and heads of departments set specific tasks. The rector also noted that the entrance score for exams at SSU was 49 points for each, the number of exam questions included in the exam paper was reduced from 5 to 3, and the minimum passing score was 17 points. Summary lectures and exams will be held from August 17 to September 15 if students who are unable to participate in the current exam session for various reasons have requests. Exams are conducted online through the Microsoft Teams platform or the Zoom program.

It should be noted that today all master"s exams are held online.

The examination session will be held online from June 8 to 5 weeks.
