An online training on "Heydar Aliyev"s return to power - Salvation Day" was held on June 12 at the Heydar Aliyev School of Sumgayit State University under the Heydar Aliyev Center. The event was opened by the rector of the university, Professor Elkhan Huseynov, who spoke about the importance of June 15 - National Salvation Day. He noted that our people are on the eve of a historic holiday - National Salvation Day. The rector congratulated the staff on the holiday and spoke about the services of our great leader to the people and state of Azerbaijan. He noted that the services of national leader Heydar Aliyev to the people and state of Azerbaijan are so great that the memory of Heydar Aliyev is remembered every day. The return of national leader Heydar Aliyev to power for the second time at the insistence of the people was engraved in the history of the struggle of the Azerbaijani people on June 15, 1993 as a great return and salvation. June 15 - National Salvation Day is widely celebrated every year as an exceptional service of Heydar Aliyev in the prevention of civil war, the preservation and strengthening of our independence, the success of our state in all areas, the rapid integration and promotion of the international community. Today, it is very dear to every patriotic Azerbaijani. After returning to power for the second time in 1993, the great leader Heydar Aliyev made the independence of Azerbaijan eternal and irreversible. As a result of the policy of a smart, perfect statesman on a solid foundation, the independent Azerbaijani state entered a new stage of development and began to build a huge state, opened all the borders, introduced Azerbaijan to the world, Azerbaijan became fully independent.

The rector also stressed that today the policy of Heydar Aliyev is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev. Today, Azerbaijan has become a strong, powerful, influential state in the international arena. It is the result of building the Azerbaijani state on solid foundations that Azerbaijan has been able to successfully overcome the crises in the world at different times. The economic crisis of 2008-2009 almost did not affect Azerbaijan. At the same time, Azerbaijan is one of the least affected countries in the world due to the current coronavirus pandemic. All this is an expression of the importance that President Ilham Aliyev attaches to the protection of human security and health.

Afterwards dean of the Faculty of History and Geography, Professor Adil Bakhshaliyev delivered speech on "Heydar Aliyev"s return to power - Salvation Day", Amirkhan Isayev, associate professor of the Department of History of Azerbaijan and Eastern Europe, head of the Career Center “Historical services of Heydar Aliyev in the establishment of socio-political stability in Azerbaijan”, Parviz Jafarov, senior lecturer of the department, “Historical services of Heydar Aliyev in the establishment of socio-political stability in Azerbaijan”, Ayten Asadova, senior lecturer of the department of History and its teaching methods, “Main directions of Azerbaijan"s foreign policy during Heydar Aliyev"s rule”, Mehin Mammadova, 3rd year student of the Faculty of Economics and Management "June 15 - a day of social, political and historical significance". They spoke about the services of national leader Heydar Aliyev as the founder of the independent Azerbaijani state and the success of the policy of President Ilham Aliyev, who duly continued the political course defined by the great leader. They stressed that the achievements of state building, the establishment of a civil society based on the rule of law and others are achievements of Heydar Aliyev.
