It is a manifestation of the high care shown by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, to the families of martyrs and war veterans, that certain work is being done in this direction everywhere. Under the leadership of the rector of Sumgayit State University, Professor Elkhan Huseynov, the staff and students of the university periodically visit the families of martyrs, their families are respected and honored. Representatives of SSU continue to visit the families of martyrs. SSU Vice-Rector for Humanitarian Affairs, Associate Professor Ramiz Huseynov and Head of the Free Trade Union Committee, Associate Professor Elmar Khalilov are visiting relatives of university employees martyred in the Great Patriotic War. On January 27, they visited the family of martyr Emil Aziz oglu Aliyev, the cousin of Ilhama Gudratli, the tutor of the Faculty of Physics and Electroenergetics of SSU, and inquired about their care. Vice-Rector for Humanitarian Affairs, Associate Professor Ramiz Huseynov, noted that the state care and support for the families of martyrs is great. Strengthening the social protection and improving the welfare of the families of martyrs and war invalids is one of the main directions of state policy. After coming to power in 1993, National Leader Heydar Aliyev ensured the adoption of relevant laws and other normative legal acts related to the protection of the rights of the families of martyrs. The attention and care of President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva to our martyrs and their families is an example for every government official and ordinary citizen. The steps taken to provide housing for the families of martyrs, to provide them with preferential mortgage loans, land plots, benefits, pensions and presidential pensions, to pay tuition fees for the children of martyrs, to perpetuate the names of martyrs are a manifestation of the state's attention and care. However, it is also our civic duty to pay attention to them, and each of us must be with the families of our heroes who died for our territorial integrity, our heroes who lost their health, and do not spare our moral support. At the initiative of the rector of Sumgayit State University, Professor Elkhan Huseynov, the faculty and students of the university periodically visit the families of martyrs, and their families are respected. During the conversation, the parents of martyr Emil Aliyev expressed their deep gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and our First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva and the rector of the university Professor Elkhan Huseynov for the attention and care. They said that our glorious victory demonstrated our strong will, the strength of the Azerbaijani state to the whole world. We have won this victory at the expense of the courage of our heroes and the holy blood of our martyrs. Emil Aliyev took part in the April battles in 2016, and was heroically martyred in the battles in the direction of Fuzuli on October 6 since the beginning of the Patriotic War.
