Our employees participated in the webinar of the British Council Turkey
On February 3, the British Council in Turkey hosted the third meeting of the Webinar on Turkish Higher Education Issues series to discuss national and institutional higher education relations between Turkey and the United Kingdom. The subject of the webinar, which was organized to connect and share professional experience with colleagues from both Turkey and the UK, was "Strengthening the Anglo-Turkish Higher Education Partnership: Perspectives for the Future".
The moderator of the webinar was Ayshen Guven, Director of the British Council Turkey, and the speakers were Professor from the University of Surrey (UK) Rachel Brooks, Director of Global Education and Partnership at Istanbul Aydin University (Turkey) Ayshe Deniz Ozkan, Professor of Beykoz University (Turkey) Armagan Erdoghan, Director of the International Partnership Department of Coventry University (UK) Pete Richards made presentations on the topic.
The webinar included a survey on the establishment of close ties between the UK and Turkey in the field of higher education. After the participants answered the questionnaire, there was an exchange of views on the results. At the same time, during the webinar, conditions were created for interactive communication of the audience and their questions were answered. The results of the survey once again suggest that globalization is bringing a new dimension to national and institutional partnerships in higher education around the world. The existing experience in the UK higher education sector is also a priority for the Turkish higher education sector, which consists of 207 higher education institutions.
In conclusion, Ayshen Guven, Director of the British Council"s Turkey Office, said that such webinars would be organized on a regular basis.
