THE FLASH MOB ORGANIZED WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE INTERNATIONAL PROPAGANDA CAMPAIGN "JUSTICE FOR KHOJALY" ON THE INITIATIVE OF THE SSU SYO
A series of events are being held at Sumgayit State University in connection with the 29th anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy, as elsewhere in the country. The first lessons at all faculties of the university were dedicated to the Khojaly tragedy and the memory of the victims of the genocide.
On February 25, a flash mob was held at the ZOOM site at the initiative of the Youth Student Organization of SSU within the framework of the international propaganda campaign "Justice for Khojaly" dedicated to the twenty-ninth anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy.
Each of the 613 students who took part in the flash mob commemorated the 613 people killed in Khojaly by replacing their names with their names.
It should be noted that on the night of February 25-26, 1992, the Armenian armed forces with the participation of the personnel of the 366th motorized infantry regiment of the former Soviet army stationed in Khankendi attacked the city of Khojaly and targeted the elderly, children and pregnant women, 613 civilians were killed with special cruelty. The city of Khojaly was destroyed by heavy military equipment, 150 people went missing, 1,275 people were taken prisoner and severely tortured, and the bodies of civilians were brutally murdered. Our people will never forget this act of genocide. The Azerbaijani state is taking all necessary steps to convey the truth about Khojaly to the world, to recognize this tragedy as an act of genocide against our people. Purposeful activity in this field began after the return of National Leader Heydar Aliyev to political power in Azerbaijan. It was after the return of Heydar Aliyev to power that the Khojaly tragedy received its true political and legal value. In 1994, on the initiative of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Parliament adopted February 26 as the Day of the Khojaly Genocide. Since then, the Azerbaijanis of the world have been called upon to be active in promoting the genocide around the world, and in this connection they have been addressed. Today, under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, purposeful and consistent work is being done to inform the world community about the crimes committed by Armenian nationalists against our people, including the Khojaly tragedy, and to recognize it as genocide. The international campaign "Justice for Khojaly!" organized on the initiative of Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva is very successful in this direction, and the commemoration of the victims of the Khojaly tragedy is already being marked in most countries around the world.
