The next online meeting of the Rector"s Office of Sumgayit State University was held on March 12.

Rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov greeted the participants, informed them about the issues on the agenda and spoke about the development of the university"s teaching and research activities in all areas.

Faig Shirinov, Director of the Teaching Methodological Center, gave detailed information on the results of student transfers to Sumgayit State University through the transfer.edu.az portal. He noted that the transfer of students is due to the growing prestige of our university.

Natig Talibov, Vice-Rector for Teaching Organization and Training Technologies, and the deans of the faculties informed about the progress of production and pedagogical practices at the bachelor"s and master"s levels and the state of preparation for the Final State Attestation. It was noted that due to the impossibility of passing the traditional practice due to the pandemic conditions, students were instructed to prepare topics relevant to their specialties and a 25-30 page report. At least 1 day a week, organized by the heads of the practice and the leading teachers of the department, practical classes are held in the online format with slides according to the specialization of the groups, students actively participate in the practice in the online format. Technological equipment is presented to the students who have passed the internship in the form of slides. They are informed about the working mechanism of this equipment, the rules of how to deal with them. It was also noted that the research internships of masters are carried out on schedule at the university, they always receive advice from supervisors.

There is a schedule of pedagogical practices. Online classes are held according to the schedule.

Vice-Rector, Associate Professor Natig Talibov, informing about the state of preparation for the Final State Attestation, said that the necessary teaching methods, examination questions and other issues have already been implemented.

Associate Professor Sabir Khalilov, Head of the Doctoral and Master"s Department, informed about the results of admission to the doctoral level of SSU in 2020.

Professor Ramazan Mammadov, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations, spoke about the tasks arising from the placement of SSU Journal of Scientific News and Scientific Conference materials in the international database "Russian Scientific Citation Index" (RINC). He praised the placement of the sections of the SSU Journal of Scientific News - the Natural and Technical Sciences, Social and Humanitarian Sciences, as well as the materials of scientific conferences held at the university on the basis of the Russian Scientific Citation Index (RINC). In order to ensure the future impact factor on the journal of scientific news and scientific conference materials, their active monitoring in the international database was entrusted to the teaching staff of SSU, doctoral students and dissertators conducting research on PhD programs.
