THE STATE MIGRATION SERVICE HAS APPEALED TO FOREIGNERS AND STATELESS PERSONS WHOSE TEMPORARY STAY IN AZERBAIJAN HAS BEEN EXTENDED
The State Migration Service (SMS) has appealed to foreigners and stateless persons whose temporary stay in Azerbaijan has been extended.
In order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the State Migration Service has extended the period of temporary stay (with payment of the relevant state fee) of foreigners who are in the country and can not leave the country for obvious reasons. However, some of these foreigners do not live at their registered address for various reasons, violating the requirements of the legislation on registration at their new place of residence. In order to prevent such cases, foreigners who have extended their temporary stay and changed their address at their place of residence can submit their registration information electronically or by filling out an application attached to the announcement to the “ASAN service” centers within 10 days from April 23, 2021; where there are no such centers, they are required to submit to regional migration offices.
We would like to inform you that non-compliance with the rules of registration at the place and place of residence of foreigners and stateless persons when moving from one place to another is subject to administrative liability under Article 575.1.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
